Ramid: "There have been several cases of police abuse against citizens'





In an interview with the Arabic daily Akhbar Al Youm, the Moroccan Minister of Justice and Liberties acknowledged the existence of several cases of "abuse" by the police against citizens .
Ramid:
"There were actually several cases of police abuse against citizens," said Mustapha Ramid which  are recognised, for the first time, as abuses of  its powers  during meetings at recent events.
 
Ramid  said it needed application and the intervention of the government to ensure that interventions by the Moroccan police into compliance with the law: "The government needs to review the way police intervene to ensure conformity with the law" .
 
However, Ramid, also pointed to the responsibility of citizens who occupy the boulevards and impede circulation, according to him, forcing "the police to intervene."
 
Ramid concluded by asserting that "It is the responsibility of everyone, not just one element ."
