The French president François Hollande is due to pay a state visit to Algeria on December 19 and 20, reliable sources have revealed to Echourouk.

The discussions between President Bouteflika and President Hollande will focus on the "strategic development road map" to be developed by Algeria and France covering a variety of issues including economic, cultural issues, trade, investment and housing joint ventures,according to Echorouk.
Algerian visas for France anda freer movement between the two countries and Algerians living in France.the Malian and the Syrian crisis and the Maghreb Union, will also be discussed.
Despite French far right agitation against Algeria aimed at hampering the reconciliation process, however the French government is resolved to overcome past conflicts and taboo subjects stemming from the Independence war and France's colonial occupation of Algeria so that the two countries can enter into a new and productive relationship finally laying to rest the tragic events of the past.
