Through agricultural finance spread over 3 years, which is part of a public-private agreement with the Doukkala-Abda region and aims to increase milk production by 50% in 2020 in this country, a Nestlé official said to AFP.
 
"38% of this production is now intended for processing pasteurized milk or powder. 43,200 farmers are engaged in the production of milk in the region and generate a turnover of over one billion dirhams (118 million euros), "the group said. "24% of dairy farmers in the region" will be affected by this partnership, Nestlé added.
 
"Through this agreement, Nestlé will engage with Morocco’s 10, 766 milk producers grouped in 130 dairy cooperatives and individual farms 8 to provide expertise in areas such as market access, supply and delivery of services" adds the Swiss group.
