Launched as part of the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of Algeria’s independence, www.djazair50.dz is a web portal dedicated to the major events that marked the country since it recovered its sovereignty in 1962.

The portal, initiated by the Ministry of Mujahideen (Liberation war veterans), operational since July 2012, comprises diversified content provided by the national news agency Algerie Presse Service (APS) in three languages (Arabic, French and English).
It covers several fields, including politics, economy, history, culture and sports, and focuses on news related to Algeria’s achievements over the past fifty years.
It also comprises photographic, audio and video libraries.
On the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the outbreak of the National Liberation War, 1st November 1954, www.djazair50.dz portal has published several interviews, videos and unpublished documents and testimonies of involved mujahideen.
