The British Council is pleased to announce the participation of four European Institutes in SIEL. A key event in the city of Casablanca, the International Book Fair of Casablanca will take place from February 10 to 19, 2012.

Four European Institutes participating in this event under the banner of EUNIC (EU National Institutes for Culture): Goethe-Institut (Germany), British Council (Great Britain), Instituto Camões (Portugal) and Istituto Italiano di Cultura (Italy) together in the same location. The four institutions have worked together on a program that will be full of a multitude of activities. These include :
Mini-language classes in German, English, Italian and Portuguese for all ages from 10am each day at noon.
Illustrations workshops organized by the Goethe-Institut, Instituto Camões and Istituto Italiano di Cultura.
Various sessions of book readings, discussions and presentations will take place in the afternoons
The public will also have the opportunity to browse the latest publications of the European literary scene as well as books in English, Italian, Portuguese and German.
Thee network of national cultural institutes of the European Union (known by its English acronym EUNIC, European Union National Institutes for Culture) is a network of cultural institutes and is dedicated to promoting European cultural diversity. The goal is to create effective partnerships between the participating organizations, to improve and promote cultural and linguistic diversity and understanding between European societies and to strengthen dialogue and cooperation with countries outside Europe.
